Facilities

The central library, established in October 2001, is a proud partner in the institute's march towards its vision playing a vital role in acquisition, organization and dissemination of knowledge. As a knowledge hub of ANITS, it offers a package of services, an ambience that is extremely conducive for assimilation and creation of new knowledge. The main thrust of the library continues to be the improvement of the quality of services and facilities, achieving higher degree of user's satisfaction and modernization of its activities and operations.

Recent Milestones

We are very happy to inform you that our college was renewed ON-LINE journals of IEL (Single user) and Springer Link (multi user) through INDEST-AICTE CONSORTIUM with a cost of 5.10 lakhs. We can access 12000 publications including 129 journals from IEEE site and 1,861 journals and 16272 E-Books from Springer link site.

We are very glad to inform you that our Digital library was expanded with another 15 No. of Pc's in addition to existed 15 No. of Pc's

Building, Collection And Management

The central library of ANITS presently covers a total user area of 6000 sq. feet, with a seating capacity of 150 in two floors. In 1st floor we are maintaining Circulation section, Journals , News papers & Magazines and Digital library. In 2nd Floor Reference books and previous question papers.

Collection is one of the important functions of the library that supports academic and research work of the students, faculty and other users. The library collection comprising of the books, journals, periodicals and non-books material in science and engineering, is considered one of the best in the city and is its greatest asset. The total collection of library as on 29-02-2008 stands as follows:

The above-acquired documents have been classified, catalogued and kept ready for use. Special care is taken to neatly maintain the library stacks to facilitate users to locate the desired document quickly and to replace the worn out tables quickly.

Digital Library

" Besides the textbooks, reference books and journals the library provides adequate infrastructure consisting of 30 PCs networked to a Windows 2000 server with a high speed Internet Connectivity (2 mbps) to the users free of cost. They can browse On-Line journals and E-Books.

The library is also providing reprography service to all the users.

The library provides book bank service - books supplied by social welfare department, Govt. Of Andhra Pradesh that are available for lending to SC and ST students.

Information alert services like employment opportunities and prospectuses of foreign universities are also provided to alert users about the latest information of their interest.
